About Michael D. Breinig
After experiencing the devastating effects of a sophisticated online romance scam, Michael became determined to understand how emotional manipulation, trust, and attachment are used to facilitate financial exploitation. His work focuses on helping individuals, families, and organizations recognize warning signs before emotional attachment overrides logic.
Michael is the author of Ding – "Hello Dear, Did You Miss Me?", host of The Anatomy of Modern Romance Scams podcast, and creator of the Attachment Override Model (AOM) and the Four S's warning-sign framework.
Through writing, speaking, podcasting, and public education, Michael's mission is simple: help others recognize manipulation early, protect themselves from fraud, and understand how these scams really work.
